All OTP performers and staff are fully vaccinated and receive regular weekly testing.

Air purification

  • Green True HEPA™ Filter - removes 99.99% airborne particles up to 0.1 microns in size; including airborne viruses and bacteria

  • Also includes activated carbon filtration - removes more than 99% of gas and volatile organic compounds

ticket exchanges

If you are sick or experiencing potential COVID symptoms, please reach out to the Box Office and we will offer you a ticket exchange to another date or livestream free of charge.

Other Questions

Q: What happened to the vaccination requirement?

A: We ended our vaccination requirement while thinking of both safety and accessibility of our community while following the guidance of the CDC and other public health experts. Earlier in the pandemic, studies showed that vaccinations helped reduce transmission of those early variants of the virus, which encouraged a vaccination requirement for larger gatherings. Studies now show that vaccinations appear to be less effective in reducing transmission of later variants but are strongly encouraged as vaccinations continue to reduce serious illness, hospitalizations, and death. The combination of vaccination status no longer providing protection to others and the very strong effectiveness of masking (even one-way masking) led us to change this policy. Should additional data and studies emerge that demonstrate new public health benefits, we will revisit our policy.

Q: Will you ever cancel a show?

A: We are prioritizing safety for everyone and we will cancel a show when necessary (e.g. if a cast member gets sick) and we will make every effort to provide a new performance date to switch your ticket to or provide an online livestreaming option. We will waive all ticket exchange fees if there is a show cancelation.

Q: what if i’m not comfortable with in-person shows?

A: We invite you to join our livestream and on-demand viewing of each show in our season so that you can experience our shows from the comfort and safety of your home. Each show page will have a link to our streaming platform Stellar to catch the livestream once it is available.

If a show does not have livestream tickets available to purchase yet, check back after opening night.

Q: Where is the theater?

A: The theater is located inside the FLAX building located at 1501 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Oakland CA. The entrance to the FLAX parking lot is on the 15th Street side of the building (see the google maps illustration at the bottom of this page).
